About Stefanie

Stefanie Kenoyer

Hi, my name is Stefanie Kenoyer and I am blessed to be able to do what I love every day! My love of competition came naturally with two older sisters who were competitive athletes.  I chose not to follow in their footsteps of professional tennis but chose my own path.  It was at each level of success that my enthusiasm for golf increased and eventually led to following my dream of playing professionally.

My junior career earned me a scholarship to Furman University (Go Paladins!) where I hoped to make an immediate impact on her team. I was able to play in every tournament throughout my four year career at Furman, culminating in winning the Southern Conference Individual Championship twice while playing for the lady paladins. However, I was also pushing hard in the classroom as golf was something I thought would end after college. God on the other hand, had other plans for me. While in my junior year at Furman, I qualified for the US Women’s Open. With my dad on the bag for the entire grueling 36 hole day, it was truly a day I will never forget. The proud look in his eyes and the sense of accomplishment I felt knowing that I had done something most people only dream about gave me a hunger for something more with golf. At the Open that June, I shot a 71 the second day, scoring better than all but five in the field.  The experience fueled my desire to take my golf to the next level and it was there that I decided to make it my career. I began to work hard to make that dream a reality and, at one point, was ranked as high as seventh in the nation for division I NCAA women’s golf.

After finishing my time at Furman, I turned professional and qualified for the Symetra Tour. This proved to be a great experience.  New friends, challenges and opportunities were in my future.  Being selected for Big Break Mexico and Big Break NFL on Golf Channel created a new fan base, great experiences and some national exposure. It has been a fun ride.

Although it hasn’t always been easy, I know that God has me right where I am supposed to be. He is creating a path for me to reach my dreams, and I am trying to be patient with the results. I know that if I continue to work hard and surround myself with the best possible team I will be successful.
